WINNERS OF 2019 FINAL ANNOUNCED …

Winners – 23rd March 2019 Please see attached  the Winners from tonight’s amazing National Concerto Competition Final 2019.  A large audience were treated to outstanding performances from the 3 Finalists accompanied by the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra conducted by David Kay.  Photos to come in a week or so …..  watch this space!

Semi-Finalist prize winners

A good sized audience was treated to 6 amazing performances last night at The Piano!  Many congratulations to all the Semi-Finalists and Finalists.

Please see attached link for the Finalists of the 2018/2019 National Concerto Competition which will be held on Saturday 23rd March 2019, 7.30 p.m. at Aurora Centre, Burnside High School.  The Finalists will be accompanied by the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.  More information about the Final will be available early next year.

SEMI-FINALISTS ANNOUNCED ….

Semi-Finalists  Please find attached the Semi-Finalists for the 2018/2019 National Concerto Competition.  This is being held tonight (Friday 7th December) at The Piano, 156 Armagh Street at 7.00 p.m.  

Door sales available:  Adults $20.00 and Student/Child $10.00 Cash or EFTPOS

Come along and support these outstanding young musicians!  We have 2 Violins, 2 Cellos, Flute and Oboe – what a great variety for an evening of wonderful music!  We have 2 Christchurch contestants – Isaac Shatford (Violin) and Isabella Gregory (Flute)!

The competition starts this week – Thursday 6th and Friday 7th December

Welcome to the 2018 – 2019 National Concerto Competition!  This year is an INSTRUMENTAL competition!

Entries for the Competition open on Monday 9th July 2018.  Entries close on Friday 12th October 2018 and entry cost is $100.00.   Late entries accepted up until Friday 19th October 2018 with an additional cost of $10.00.  

Dates for the first stage of the Competition are as follows.  Rehearsals, Preliminaries and Semi-Final are ALL being held at The Piano, 156 Armagh Street, Christchurch

Rehearsal: Wednesday 5th December 2018  
Preliminaries: Wednesday 5th December 2018 (possibly an evening session – this will depend on number of entries)
Preliminaries: Thursday 6th December 2018
Semi-Final: Friday 7th December 2018 at 7.00 p.m.

First prize = $10,000
Second prize = $3,000
