Woolston Concert Brass presents “From Stage and Screen” on Sunday 28 October, 3.00pm-4.30pm at The Piano (Armagh Street, Christchurch). Door sales only (Eftpos/Cash); $10, Under 18 Free.

Woolston Concert Brass with Music Director Nick Johnson will showcase their talents performing music from popular musicals and movies such as ‘Wicked’, ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’, ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Toy Story’.

The Concert will also feature three WCB Principal players; Hazel Wilson (Tenor Horn) performing Hush a Bye Mountain, Jean-Luc Pitcaithly (Solo Cornet) performing Don’t Cry for Me Argentina, and Jasmine Ward (Percussion) performing Despedida: 4th Movement Marimba Concerto. You are sure to be impressed by these talented players of WCB who have all have gained placings at the recent National and Provincial Contests.

Woolston Concert Brass is part of the Woolston Brass Academy and gained 2nd place in the C Grade at the Blenheim National Brass Band Championships held in July this year, and recently won the C Grade section at the Canterbury Provincial Brass Band Association Contest.
