Celebrating 130 years, Woolston Brass in association with the Royal Albert Hall presents Brassed Off Live on Saturday 7th May 2022, 7.00pm at the Christchurch Town Hall.

Woolston Brass with Music Director Tyme Marsters will perform the poignant and uplifting score whilst the Brassed Off movie plays on the big screen in the beautiful and world-renowned Douglas Lilburn Auditorium. Do not miss this unique movie and music experience! Please note: Movie is rated M – suitable for mature audiences, contains low level offensive language. Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Experience Brassed Off, one of the greatest British films ever made, like never before in this special live-in-concert production featuring Woolston Brass. Award-winning Brassed Off starring Stephen Tompkinson, Ewan McGregor, Tara Fitzgerald and Pete Postlethwaite, was the surprise box-office hit of 1996 and tells of the struggles of the Grimley Colliery Band. Mark Herman’s bittersweet comedy drama stars Danny (Pete Postlethwaite), the devoted leader of the Grimley Colliery Band who is determined to show the Tories ‘we are not defeated’.
