Woolston Brass with Music Director Tyme Marsters presents JAZZ 2pm on Sunday 20 November at the James Hay Theatre featuring a remarkable line-up of talented and renowned local guest artists; vocalist Kate Taylor, trombonist Scott Taitoko, saxophonist Gwyn Reynolds, pianist Tom Rainey and bass player Michael Story.
JAZZ will feature a variety of styles including Dixieland, Funk and Latin showcasing the sultry sounds of the bold brass, vivacious vocals, tantalising trombone, silky-smooth saxophone and provocative piano, in charts such as Take Five, Amazing Grace, Falling in Love with Love and Four Seasons in One Day, and so much more!
Christchurch’s iconic Woolston Brass will also perform several stunning compositions and arrangements written by New Zealand musicians including local artist Cameron Pearce along with guest artists Gwyn Reynolds and Scott Taitoko.
JAZZ will excite and inspire its audience with colourful melodies, improvised countermelodies and enthralling rhythm.
