Woolston Brass and Christchurch City Choir present ‘Gallipoli 100 – ANZAC Remembered 2015’

Woolston Brass and Christchurch City Choir present ‘Gallipoli 100 – ANZAC Remembered 2015’ on Saturday 25th April, 2.00 p.m. at Charles Luney Auditorium, St Margarets’ College.

Please join us for this special concert performance that honours the Gallipoli landings in 1915 and celebrates the spirit of ANZAC men and women, and their loved ones waiting for their safe return.  Upon reflection of Australasian history and our wartime heroes, you will be taken on a musical journey of courage, loss, kinship and peace.

Woolston Brass and the Christchurch City Choir combine forces to perform Professor John Ritchie’s poignant and moving work ‘Gallipoli Voices’ and a medley of selected tunes from the war years entitled ‘We Will Remember Them’.

Among other works, Woolston Brass will entertain performing wartime hit ‘Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy’ and inspirit performing Dwyane Bloomfield’s ‘Behold the Narrows from the Hill’, that tells the moving story of the New Zealand Infantry Brigade’s capture of Chanuk Bair on Gallipoli in 1915.

Gallipoli 100 – ANZAC Remembered 2015 is suitable for the whole family.
