Waimakariri Community Arts Council presents “Naomi Ferguson and Alex van den Broek”

Waimakariri Community Arts Council presents “Naomi Ferguson and Alex van den Broek” on Saturday 16th July, 7.30 p.m.  at Chamber Gallery, Rangiora Library.

Naomi Ferguson – voice and piano.
Alex van den Broek – piano, guitar and trumpet.

Accomplished musicians, Naomi Ferguson and Alex van den Broek have performed together both nationally and internationally over the last eight years.  Both having their early training in jazz, they are exponents of the art of the song.

Naomi’s singing is dramatic and narrative by nature, and together she and Alex delight in creating unique and personal interpretations of songs from the Great American Songbook and beyond.  They also compose songs together and enjoy the collaborative process.

This performance will be an intimate concert of beloved standards, and some gems that lie just off the beaten track.
