Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre presents “Lixin Zhang – Fundraiser Piano Recital” on Tuesday 9th May 2023, 1.10pm to 1.50pm at Great Hall, Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre, 2 Worcester Boulevard, Christchurch

As the first in our new Tuesday Series, Lixin will show his talent on the piano. He is a brilliant young Christchurch musician currently studying at Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles with Fabio Bidini. He has won awards and scholarships worldwide and most recently he competed in the International Arthur Rubinstein piano Competition held in Tel Aviv, Israel. Lixin performed brilliantly getting through to the final 16 players.

This concert is a fundraiser for an initiative that helps provide music lessons to talented students from underprivileged backgrounds who struggle to afford music lessons.

This concert is part of the Rising Stars Concert Series 2023. A new Tuesday lunchtime concert series that’s encouraging, supporting, nurturing and providing a performance platform for emerging young musicians.
