A musical soirée celebrating Kate Sheppard
Enjoy Kate Sheppard’s musical repertoire performed by Christchurch choir, Schola Cantorum, in a Victorian style parlour soirée. Hear songs Kate sang in her home over 120 years ago and discover intriguing facets of her life and times in Ōtautahi Christchurch in the late 1800’s.
Explore the newly transformed rear space of Te Whare Waiutuutu Kate Sheppard House, the elegant Victorian home and exquisite gardens, and treat yourself to a glass of Kate’s preferred choice of bubbly (unfermented wine, of course) with sweet treats.
