Great Hall Lunchtime Concert Series presents “Tony Chen Lin (piano)” on Monday 30th September 2019, 1.10 pm to 1.50 pm at The Great Hall, Arts Centre, 2 Worcester Blvd, Christchurch

Tony has carefully crafted a generous one-hour programme for his hometown concert, the last of a 15-concert, nationwide solo recital tour.  It will include Leo’s Janacek’s Sonata 1.X 1905 performed as a dedication to the victims of the tragic events of the 15 March mosque attacks, followed by the premiere of a new work Daydreams composed especially for this tour by world renowned composer and pianist Gao Ping.  Tony will conclude the concert with Schumann’s grand masterpiece, Fantasie Op. 17.
