Improvise! Grooves and Blues
Hot on the heels of our successful Improvise! New Ways to Play! Workshops, we’re bringing you a brand new workshop – exploring grooves, scales and the blues.
Improvisation is fun, creative and a great way to get to know your instrument and other musicians just like you! Nothing too hard – everything will be clearly explained, you’ll learn the skills you need and soon you’ll be jamming along in our friendly supportive environment.
Improvisation provides a valuable link between theory, harmony, aural training and playing your instrument. You’ll understand more about music, be motivated and freshly inspired. And become a more versatile musician!
3 day Workshop
12 -14 October, 2.30pm-4.30pm
Ron Ball Studio, Christchurch Town Hall
$60 (early bird – before 19 Sept), $70 (full registration – before 7 Oct), $90 (late registration- from 7 Oct)
Open to anyone who plays an orchestral instrument – all abilities are welcome
