Christopher’s Classics Series XXI – 2016 presents “New Zealand String Quartet with pianist Stephen De Pledge” on Wednesday 17th August 2016, 7.30 p.m. at The Piano, 156 Armagh Street, Christchurch 8140.
The New Zealand String Quartet, a mainstay of the Christopher’s Classics programme, will return with newly appointed second violinist, Monique Lapins. In this concert the quartet will perform with pianist Stephen De Pledge who has performed with the Bournemouth Symphony, BBC Scottish Symphony, Philharmonia (London) and New London Orchestras. His discography includes solo Brahms, Messiaen, Beethoven, Schnittke, Shostakovich, Barber and Bliss chamber works. Stephen teaches at the University of Auckland.
