Christopher’s Classics Series XVIII – 2013 presents Michael Endres, Pianist on Tuesday 10 September 2013 at 8.00 p.m. at Church of St Michael and All Angels, 86 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch.
Outstanding German pianist Michael Endres performs worldwide as a soloist and chamber music partner and has won numerous awards for both performance and recording, including First & Special Prizes at the International Schubert Competition (Germany) and the prestigious Diapason d’or (France) three times and the Choc de Musique twice for his discography.
He holds a Masters degree from the Juilliard School, New York, and has had a distinguished career as Professor for piano at the Cologne Hochschule fuer Musik (1993-2003) and Germany’s leading college “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin (2003-2009). His chamber music partners include Berlin Philharmonic soloists, the Artemis Quartet, and Fine Arts Quartet: He performs in festivals such as Newport USA, the Beethoven Festival Bonn, and the Salzburg Festival.
