Christchurch City Choir presents “Messiah”

Christchurch City Choir presents “Messiah” on Saturday 9th December 2017, 7.30 p.m. at Charles Luney Auditorium, St Margaret’s College.

After an outstanding performance with the NZSO last year, soprano Madeleine Pierard returns from London to once again sing Handel’s Messiah with baritone James Clayton, fresh from singing Ode to Joy.  This time they will be joined by the tremendous vocal talent of Australian artists Cassandra Seidermann, mezzo, and John Longmuir, tenor.

John Linker takes up the baton for his first NZ performance of the most well known oratorio of all time.  The Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, Martin Setchell, organ, Grant Bartley, harpsichord and soloists join the Christchurch City Choir on Saturday 9th December, 7.30 p.m. at Charles Luney Auditorium, St Margaret’s College.
