Christchurch City Choir returns to the Christchurch Town Hall to perform Brahms’ magnificent German Requiem, Ein deutsches Requiem.
Conductor John Linker and the Choir are thrilled to be working alongside City Choir Dunedin, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra as well as soloist, Bass James Loelu, Soprano Elizabeth Mandeno and Organist Jeremy Woodside.
This emotional and uplifting work, composed by Johannes Brahms in the mid-1800s, is a moving tribute to the departed and a source of solace for the living. With its soaring melodies, rich harmonies, and poignant lyrics, the German Requiem is an unforgettable musical journey that will stir your soul and leave you with a sense of hope and renewal.
