Chamber Music NZ presents QuintEssence on Saturday 24th September 2016 at Charles Luney Auditorium, 12 Winchester Street, Christchurch
The New Zealand String Quartet is joined by Grammy-nominated American violist James Dunham for this special tour highlighting masterpieces from Brahms and Mozart.
QuintEssence Mini Festival
Celebrate Brahms and Mozart all in one day; a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
We begin with an 11am concert perfomred by the Pettman Players, a group of aspiring young Kiwi musicians, timed perfectly to enjoy with your mid-morning coffee.
NZSQ and James Dunham then perform two concerts at, 3pm and 7,30 p.m., each featuring one of the Brahms Quintets paired with one of the great Mozart Quintets.
The festival also includes a feature discussing the Brahms and Mozart connection, hosted by Frances Moore.
