A powerful modern work of peace and hope for those who remain.
To mark the anniversary of the quake, Atlas Voices will perform the critically acclaimed Requiem for the Living in the Christchurch Transitional Cathedral. This composition has been acclaimed as ‘A work of soaring melody and luminous harmony . . . which emphasizes consolation for the living’.
This is an encore performance of the piece following the premier at the Christchurch Arts Festival in 2017, receiving standing ovations at both performances. Joining us again will be noted local soprano Amanada Atlas along with Burnside High School students and a hand selected orchestra.
