Want to sign in a champion choir? Christchurch City Chorus are looking for new women members from Feb 3rd 2021.
Christchurch City Chorus are running a singing membership growth campaign for new members right now, because we are preparing to perform as 11 times honoured NZ Champions, at the National Women’s barbershop singing Convention being held in Christchurch in May, at the Isaac Theatre Royal, plus shows in April and other times. We are planning to travel to Palmerston North to compete in the Barbershop Harmony Society Contest in September and to perform in Rarotonga as soon the travel bubble can be made viable. We still carry our dreams with us.
Please let every woman you know who can sing, of any age, culture and stage, know about this. It could be what they have wanted to do for years, We pride ourselves on the singing and performance education we deliver and I am joined in the teaching by Richard Marrett, the Court Theatre and Theatre Royal shows Musical Director. Every Wednesday is a wonderful night out for everyone to be learning, laughing and enjoying making beautiful, 4 part harmony, non-accompanied, a cappella music. Give it a try.
