Don McGlashan, one of Aotearoa’s most iconic voices, will join forces with CSO for one night of pure magic.
With his sharp, poetic lyrics and raw, emotional delivery, McGlashan’s music has shaped Aotearoa New Zealand’s sound for decades. From his days with Blam Blam Blam, The Mutton Birds and The Front Lawn to his stunning solo work, this collaboration blends his unique sound with the full symphonic force of CSO.
Under the direction of conductor David Kay, this collaboration is set to highlight the bold, cinematic flair in McGlashan’s songs, combining his energy, and the way he tells stories about this country, with the grandeur of the symphony. From the first note to the last, you’ll be swept away by passion, beauty and sheer musical adrenaline.
