Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre presents “Burnside High School Specialist Music Programme – Piano” on Tuesday 8th August 2023, 1.10pm to 1.50pm at Great Hall, Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre, 2 Worcester Boulevard, Christchurch

‘SMP‘ Students see music as a very important activity during their high school years. Places are gained by audition and entry can be at any year level. The group meets every Wednesday afternoon, tutored by Tim Emerson and Anna Maksymova. The emphasis is on the young players performing to refine their tone, improve technique and articulation within the group format.

This concert is part of the Rising Stars Concert Series 2023. A new Tuesday lunchtime concert series that’s encouraging, supporting, nurturing and providing a performance platform for emerging young musicians.
