The Hammond organ is a unique instrument with a strong connection to Gospel, Soul and R&B music. It rose to popularity in jazz in the Hard Bop era of the 1950s and 1960s with its highly distinctive sound gracing many classic albums. Join Tom Rainey (organ) and Paul Gilmour (guitar) as they bring to life the classic blues – tinged sound of soul and jazz, according to the Hammond.
