Christmas Brass Celebration will showcase the musical talent and Christmas spirit of one of New Zealand’s finest brass bands, Christchurch’s iconic Woolston Brass with Music Director Tyme Marsters alongside their Academy; Woolston Concert Brass with newly appointed Music Director Phil Johnston and Woolston Junior Band with Vickie van Uden.
As well as many Christmas favourites, sing-alongs, and tunes to have you dancing in your seat, the concert will feature younger members of our Academy including Erika Cable performing The Christmas Song and Woolston Brass soloists; Luke Christiansen performing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Nigel Seaton performing Jingle Bells.
To conclude the concert, members from all three bands will combine performing Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Christmas Time, offering something truly unique, the joy of playing and sharing music together at any age.
Celebrating 131 years, join Woolston Brass and their Academy for an afternoon of musical Christmas wonder and be inspired by their magical sounds this Christmas time. A concert the whole family of any age will enjoy.
