NZ Opera presents “Opera in the City”

NZ Opera presents “Opera in the City with Simon O’Neill and friends” will feature a beautiful programme of music performed by acclaimed tenor Simon O’Neill, soprano Natasha Wilson and baritone Edward Laurenson, who are all home because of current global events.  New Zealand based mezzo-soprano Kristin Darragh and pianist David Kelly complete this stellar lineup.

The programme has been curated by Simon himself and will include musical selections by Handel, Mozart, Gounod, Bernstein and Sondheim and more.

We’re delighted that we are able to bring these wonderful artists to Christchurch, as they are all very rarely available to sing for New Zealand audiences.  Proceeds will be directed to fundraising for New Zealand Opera’s Voice Your Support campaign, currently focused on filming upcoming productions.
