The original programme for this tour included the premiere of a new work from composer Gao Ping, commissioned for Tony. The proposed work was going to be a 5-minute stand-alone composition. Gao Ping threw himself into the project and has completed a far more substantial piece—a 20-minute suite called 白日梦 ”Daydreams”.
Renowned for his passionate dedication, playing of the utmost skill, he is among the forefront of NZ’s greatest talent. Come and enjoy this superb pianist.Tony is thrilled and excited to premier this piece in his not to be missed repertoire;
