CBS Music presents “Suite Sounds”

A new series of concerts begins at St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral on Friday 5th August 2016 at 5.30 p.m. with an hour long programme from CBS Music titled “Suite Sounds”.  Admission is $15/$20

After the concert, the audience is invited to join the Cathedral Choir and Orchestra for a pre-ordered meal in the adjacent CBS Music Centre, already proving a popular venue for smaller scale recitals and social events.  For this trial venture, pizzas and a variety of drinks will be on offer.  Later in the evening, for those who wish to stay, an appropriate film connected to the earlier performance may be viewed on a large screen.  It is hoped that this combination of live music, social mixing, and a cinematic experience might have the appeal of a modern house concert, echoing gatherings in stately European homes which saw the birth of chamber music.
