Camerata Strings present My Favourite Things – 3.00 p.m.

Camerata Strings, Conductors Patrick Shepherd and Marcus Norman with Patrick Shepherd (Soprano Saxophone)
The programme is based around the Rodgers and Hammerstein song My Favourite Things, firstly with the actual song, then group improvisations using the players’ favourite pieces and finally, works that are truly “favourites” in the string orchestra repertoire, Handel’s Arrival of the Queen of Sheba; Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Holst’s Brook Green Suite.
The concert also features a new work for soprano sax and strings – Rhapsody for Carolyn and Tim – by the Orchestra’s Conductor, Patrick Shepherd, who will play the soprano sax solo and hand the conducting baton over to Marcus Norman.
