DESCRIPTION:Concerts for Christchurch Foundation Trust presents “Musical Mentors – Rachel Doig” on Friday 15th May 2015\, 1.10 p.m. to 1.50 p.m. at St Augustine’s Church\, Cracroft Terrace\, Cashmere. \nRachel Doig (Soprano)\, Michael Lawrence (Piano).  Rachel has performed in many local operas and productioins\, Maria in West Side Story and Papagena in the Magic Flute\, to name but a two.  Each role she declaims with confidence and panache\, making them her own.  With a small team of enthusiasts she has recently formed a new collective interested in operatic pursuits.  ‘The Opera Club’ which performs throughout the year in Christchurch and the South Island.  She is also a teacher and mentor to young singers at Westburn Primary School and St Margaret’s College. \nRachel will be performing her favourite works with Michael Lawrence as accompanist.  Michael has performed as a soloist in our series on a number of occasions receiving huge applause.  He is also an exquisite\, sympathetic accompanist.  We are thrilled to welcome Rachel to our stage and also to have Michael return. \nComplimentary freshly brewed coffee and biscuits will be served after each concert in this series. \nDoor donation: $10.00 per person; $5.00 per person for Music Centre Friends\, Students and Seniors. \nTo make a booking telephone: 377 5000\, or email: concertsforchristchurch@gmail.com
