DESCRIPTION:Cecilian Singers presents “Sunday with the Cecilians” on Sunday 18th June 2023\, 3.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m. at All Souls Church\, 30 Church Lane\, Merivale\, Christchurch. \nPricing: $20.00 presales/$25.00 at the door \nWe have been working on a range of styles for our first concert of the year\, including a capella pieces by Hildegard von Bingen and Thomas Weelkes\, Schumann’s Drei zweistimmige Lieder Op. 43\, NZ compositions by Leonie Holmes and Robert Wiremu\, and featuring A Little Jazz Mass by Bob Chilcott. \n We will be joined by pianist Sarah Kang\, and double bass player Gerald Oliver. \nThe audience will also be treated to duets by Helen Acheson and Nicola Holt\, who are both recent additions to the Christchurch music scene from Auckland and Wellington respectively; both are professional soloists and voice teachers\, as well as active members of Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir.
