Waimakariri Community Arts Council presents “Stephen Watson – Piano Recital”

Stephen Watson will play in the Chamber Gallery, Rangiora Library on Friday 15th September 2017 at 7.30 p.m.

Stephen began learning piano at the age of 4. At 14, he achieved his LMusNZ.

Four years later, he completed a Bachelor of Music with Honours. He followed this with his Master of Music with Distinction supervised by Dr. Jian Liu, Head of Piano at the New Zealand School of Music.

He is currently studying in Germany at the Hochschule für Musik Demold with the celebrated Chilean-German pianist Prof. Alfredo Perl.

Stephen is a Fellow of the Royal Schools of Music, having been awarded the diploma with Distinction.

Stephen is especially attracted to the great romantic repertoire, particularly Chopin and Liszt, and has performed many of these masterpieces to critical acclaim.

In Dahomey – Percy Grainger

Trois mouvement perpétuels – Francis Poulenc
Chopin Sonata in B-flat Minor, Op. 35 – Frédéric Chopin

Tickets: Adult $25 Student $10 from Rangiora Library. Cash or cheque only please.

This concert is presented by the Waimakariri Community Arts Council.
