Christopher’s Classics Series XX 2015 presents Lixin Zhang on Thursday 12th March at 8.00 p.m. at St Michael and All Angels Church.

Lixin Zhang is an extraordinary musical talent.  Following the cancellation of the BonaNZa Trombone Quartet concert due to the illness of one of the BonaNZa musicians, Lixin has stepped in to perform a varied and ambitious repertoire.  A piano and violin student in the Burnside High School Specialist Music Programme, Lixin began learning the piano with Neville Baird at the age of four and later studied with Professor Michael Endres on a scholarship from the Pettman Academy.  During this time he was offered a full scholarship to study in London with Michael Endres’ former teacher, the legendary Peter Feuchtwanger.  The scholarship will be held until Lixin is ready.  Last year Lixin studied with one of New Zealand’s best known pianist, Richard Mapp.
