Christchurch City Choir presents “Messiah” on Saturday 6th December 2014 at 7.30 p.m. in Charles Luney Auditorium, St Margaret’s College, Christchurch

Continuing the 22 year tradition established by former Music Director Brian Law, the City Choir will once again perform perennial Christmas favourite, Handel’s Messiah in the intimate setting of the Charles Luney Auditorium.

Bringing together a host of homegrown talent, including the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, this year’s Messiah conducted for the first time by new Music Director Andrew Withington, will be a right ol’ Kiwi Christmas.

– Madeleine Pierard – Soprano
– Sarah Court – Alto
– Simon O’Neill – Tenor
– Jared Holt – Baritone

 The Christchurch City Choir will also be joined by Consortia, the University of Canterbury Chamber Choir, and accompanied by Martin Setchell (Continuo Organ) and James Tibbles (Harpsichord)
